A BRIEF HISTORY

It was the 1950’s when Bokaro Steel Plant started extraction of iron and steel and Bokaro started blooming but Chas was the most neglected area. The people of Chas were deprived of quality education. Some intellectual personalities of Marwari Samaj tried to bring a change and decided to start a school that would provide education to the middle-class and down-trodden community.

In 1970, it started its glorious journey with only a few students in a small classroom and a handful of teachers. With time the school earned popularity and became a great institution. From 1970 to 1991 it emphasized on the upper primary classes. The institution was affiliated by CBSE, New Delhi in the year 1992 up to the secondary level. Thereafter, it also affiliated by CBSE, New Delhi upto senior secondary level.

With the growing time , ADARSH VIDYA MANDIR , has reached to the zenieth in the education sector not only in Chas but also in Bokaro district . Over the years the excellence of the great institution has kept the society mesmerised as this institution has taken up the noble work of uplifting the marginalised society and bring them to light . This great institution has now become the centre for nurturing the young talents who have a promising future . With the advent of new age , it has started to explore the new horizons .B esides making students academically strong , this great institution have reared up the talents hidden in each and every students and aid them to reach a great height and then they enlighten the society .S it can be said that contribution of this insttution towards humanity and our country is beyond words . Combating with all odds this organisation has transformed the ideals into actions . This justifies the greatness of this institution.

OBJECTIVES

Realising the need to spread the light of education at Chas and its neighbouring areas , ADARSH VIDYA MANDIR was established in the year 1970 . This school has now become a Senior Secondary School affiliated to CBSE , New Delhi since 1990. The school has spread its wings and reputation with the flavor of quality education and inculcating ideals which can stand in good stead in lives of children who are the makers of India with their knowledge , skill , devotion and dedication .

“OUR MOTTO : Building better nation by building better boys girls is the sole motto of this school .” The school owes gratitude to the benefactors who sowed the seed which has come into fruition.

AFFILIATION AND COURSE OF STUDY

This school follows the education patterns set by the Central Board of Secondary Education ,New Delhi .The school prepares students with an approach by focusing on imparting skill based learning , based on 10+2 pattern of instruction of Central Board of Secondary Education . The school offers facilities for Science and Commerce streams to senior secondary students . They are endowed with obligatory as well as supplementary theoretical and practical assistance to achieve excellence in board examination .
